Years after living showbiz, Nadine Samonte says she never felt regretful for choosing her family and turning back on her career as a successful actress.
According to her, being able to spent days with her kids and her husband is more than enough reason to leave the industry, although she admits that she misses acting sometimes.
During the quarantine period, the female celeb decided to reside on a farm that her mother in-law, Isabelle Rivas owns.
That is where she and her whole family stay and Nadine always makes sure to update to her fans every now and then.
Because of the new environment, Nadine is glad to see her eldest daughter, Heather learning how to do chores and farming activities.
She is now selling dries fish such as tuyo, dilis, tinapa and daing and she proudly announced it on her Instagram account.
According to Nadine, there is nothing to be ashamed of with being a dried fish vendor because right now, what matters is being able to find a source of income that will sustain your family’s need especially during a pandemic.
“Yes we sell dried fishes na din. You know why? Nung nakatikim ako nito super sarap why? Actually matagal na ko bumibili niyan and lagi kami meron dito sa house kasi fave din ni Heather ang danggit and dilis.” she said.
Added her, “Etong mga dried fishes na to are fresh from Masbate tapos unsalted lahat kaya masarap. We sell by batches etong mga andito ngayon lahat sold out na po. We will post next batch availability and prices. We have danggit, sweet pusit, palad flakes, big dilis boneless and small dilis. Lahat hindi maalat and fresh from Masbate pa talaga kaya malinamnam hehe.”
She also said that according to her husband, she is now a D&D queen.
“Hindi ako nahihiya na magbenta ng ganito kasi sa panahon ngayon kelangan natin maging madiskarte and hindi nakakahiya kasi masarap talaga. Ang sabi ng asawa ko the new D&D queen daw ako ng south hahaha meaning? Danggit and dilis hahaha,”
