Mystery Science Theater 3000 is officially back for season 13. After a successful Kickstarter campaign, the beloved series returns with a whole lot of cheesy B-movie goodness. And this time the series returns without a network or major streaming home. Season 13 will debut on its own indie streaming platform, the Gizmoplex. The MST3K season 13 trailer features all our favorite friends and even a new face or two.
Jonah Ray and series creator (and original host) Joel Hodgson are returning, with Emily Marsh—a.k.a. Emily Connor—joining as a host. Here’s what’s in store for the trio, per the season 13 description:
This year, not one but three hosts—Jonah Heston, Emily Connor, and original host Joel Robinson—will be forced to endure some of the cheesiest movies ever to appear on MST3K, including our first-ever Halloween special, our first-ever 3D movie, and a holiday special finale so big it’ll take all three hosts to riff it.
And worry not, the beloved Mads are back as well, with Felicia Day, Patton Oswalt, and Mary Jo Pehl returning for more, well, madness.
Here’s the list of movies Jonah, Joel, and Emily will suffer through during MST3K season 13:
- May 6: Santo in the Treasure of Dracula
- May 7: Robot Wars
- May 8: Beyond Atlantis
- May 27: Munchie
- June 10: Doctor Mordrid
- June 24: Demon Squad
- July 22: Gamera vs. Jiger
- August 19: The Batwoman
- September 2: The Million Eyes of Sumuru
- September 30: The Shape of Things to Come
- October 28: The Mask in 3D
- November 11: The Bubble
- December 16: The Christmas Dragon
The Gizmoplex isn’t just the home for MST3K season 13 episodes. Starting on May 6, when the first new installment drops, all the classic episodes from MST3K‘s first ten seasons will be available. In addition, a Gizmoplex Season Pass brings a truck-load of MST3K goodness, with new episodes and shorts dropping throughout the year, as well as access to livestreams and special events.
To see the new season, visitors will be able to buy tickets to livestream events ($10 each), rent the new episodes ($8 each), or get a “Season Pass” ($135) that includes tickets to over 25 livestream events and a digital copy of the new season to keep. The Gizmoplex will be available via a web portal and also on a wide variety of OTT platforms, including apps for both iOS and Android devices, Roku, Amazon Fire TV, and more.
New episodes of Mystery Science Theater 3000 will debut on the Gizmoplex every other week throughout the year, with the first three episodes releasing May 6-8.
