THE BOYS Spinoff GEN V Lands Title, Promises HUNGER GAMES Action

The Boys season three is done and we are left with a huge hole in our TV programming. Is there another show with as much blood, NSFW content, sex jokes, social commentary, and overall wild supe action to replace it? Absolutely not. It’s probably going to be a while before we see Homelander and the titular Boys crew again. But until then, we’ve got something to celebrate. As we already knew, this wacky universe is expanding with a college spinoff following a gang of superpowered students. Now, we have a name for it. The Boys spinoff is aptly titled Gen V. Love it already.

And we love it even more after seeing the Gen V title announcement featuring some of the cast. (We don’t see Sean Patrick Thomas nor Marco Piggosi here. But they are certainly not the college kids.) The group of The Boys college supes includes not one but two Chilling Adventures of Sabrina alum—Chance Perdomo and Jaz Sinclair. Fans knew them as Roz and Ambrose, respectively.

Gen V also stars Lizze Broadway, Shelley Conn, Maddie Phillips, London Thor, Derek Luh, Asa Germann, and Patrick Schwarzenegger. They all appear together to talk about Gen V, saying it will have The Boys’ intensity and grit while bringing in the classic raging hormones and drama of college life. As Chance Perdomo says, “It’s f**ked up. You’re gonna like it.” Sounds like the The Boys college spinoff will be the good time we all signed up for when we became The Boys fans.

We also have a clearer synopsis of Gen V that teases some competitive supe action:

Set at America’s only college exclusively for young-adult superheroes (run by Vought International), Gen V is an irreverent, R-rated series that explores the lives of hormonal, competitive Supes as they put their physical, sexual, and moral boundaries to the test, competing for the best contracts in the best cities. It’s part college show, part Hunger Games—with all the heart, satire, and raunch of The Boys.

Right now, we don’t have a release date for Gen V. But we are ready for this The Boys spinoff whenever it wants to hit us with nonstop chaos.
