COYOTE VS. ACME WILL Release in Theaters (Finally!)

It has been a long road for the Looney Tunes live-action/animated hybrid movie, Coyote vs. Acme. As many people probably know, the movie was one of the properties caught in the crossfire as Warner Bros. Discovery sought to streamline its offerings for tax break purposes. The fallout of that was that Coyote vs. Acme, a totally complete movie that was very good by all accounts, became shelved indefinitely. It felt like Coyote vs. Acme would never see the light of day, or a theater screen. But now, Deadline reports that Coyote vs. Acme will finally emerge from the shadows. Warner Bros. Discovery completed its deal with Ketchup Entertainment, and Ketchup Entertainment now owns the worldwide rights to the live-action/animated hybrid film starring Wile E. Coyote. Yes, Coyote vs. Acme is heading to theaters.

Gareth West, CEO of Ketchup Entertainment, shared in a statement: “We’re thrilled to have made a deal with Warner Bros. Pictures to bring this film to audiences worldwide. COYOTE VS. ACME is a perfect blend of nostalgia and modern storytelling, capturing the essence of the beloved Looney Tunes characters while introducing them to a new generation. We believe it will resonate with both longtime fans and newcomers alike.”

We’re so excited to hear that Coyote vs. Acme will finally be released. And we bet that in a dramatic twist of irony, it does super well in theaters. We’re hoping this one crushes at the box office. It’s just the kind of narrative that would make for an amazing Looney Tunes episode.

This is a developing story.
