AVATAR: THE LAST AIRBENDER Announces New Fighting Video Game and Animated Series

The world of Avatar: The Last Airbender continues to expand with a new combat video game and an animated YouTube series. This news, which dropped during New York Comic Con, is super exciting for fans who adore the beloved animated series. Somehow, that Nickelodeon show is 20 years old, and has other projects like the Avatar: Seven Havens series and The Legend of Aang: The Last Airbender film coming up. And, who can forget Netflix’s wonderful live-action Avatar adaptation. That’s a lot of showcasing the four nations.

But back to this most recent news. Right now, the new Avatar video game is using the working title Avatar Legends: The Fighting Game, (might wanna workshop that…) and will include Aang, Katara, Sokka, Zuko, Azula, Toph and Korra using a 2D animation style. It will hit all consoles sometime in 2026.

And, the animated series will be in 2D as well, with reimaginings of classic Avatar scenes from the original TV show and comics. There will also be original content as well. It is not clear when this new animated series will hit YouTube but we can assume that it will also arrive sometime in 2026 as well. What exciting news all around.
