The legendary Lara Croft is back for more global adventures on Netflix. Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft season two will expand on her epic adventures, which we get a hint of in the trailer. Season one was all about establishing her as a character and introducing some of her core wounds that shape her persona and mission. Now that we really know this version of Lara, it is all about diving into danger.
Hayley Atwell returns to voice Lara Croft once again in this Legendary Television series, and we love to hear it! In season two, Croft discovers a trail of stolen African Orisha masks. She teams up with her best friend Sam (voiced by The Boys star Karen Fukuhara) to retrieve these artifacts. This new adventure digs into Orisha history and reveals that these relics are far more powerful than anyone could imagine. In fact, that power could be divine.
Previously, showrunner Tasha Huo told us that she was always mindful to explore different cultures in a way that’s entertaining, educational, and also respectful. And, if ever there were something that needs this type of lens, it is the Orishas.
