There are some film ideas that we can immediately get on board with. A witchy woman using her powers to scare others? Sure, we love that. Michael B. Jordan playing twins, one of whom is a vampire, in a horror film? Yes please. What about Karl Urban playing a pirate? Absolutely. Prime Video’s upcoming movie The Bluff pits Urban against Priyanka Chopra Jonas, an ex-pirate who has to face her bloody past, and the trailer is a lot of fun.
First of all, I like the idea of someone being an ex-pirate. It simply doesn’t seem like a life that one would retire from and sail off into the sunset. But that’s what happens here. And guess what? Priyanka is playing a character who went by the name Bloody Mary. I love it.
