THE BOB’S BURGERS MOVIE’s New Trailer Dishes Out Disaster

For many families the summer is normally a time to kick back and relax with some fun in the sun. But “normal” has never applied to the Belchers and never will. And this year everyone’s favorite burger-slinging clan will be busier than ever when the warm season rolls in. They’re headed to the big screen for a whole film. The Bob’s Burgers Movie’s latest trailer delivers a supersized dish of delicious absurdity.

The Bob’s Burgers Movie gave fans a taste of what’s to come during a panel at this year’s WonderCon. Those in attendance saw footage and sat in on a panel discussion with the filmmakers and cast. They also got to see the latest trailer for the film. That new teaser reveals exactly why the giant sinkhole in front of their restaurant could do more than just ruin their summer. It threatens to ruin the business.

That’s a great premise for the show’s move from TV to cinema. Yet, this trailer doesn’t even capture just how ridiculous the film really is. There’s not even any singing, but that’s coming. Here’s the official synopsis from 20th Century Studios:

The Bob’s Burgers Movie is an animated, big-screen, musical comedy-mystery-adventure based on the long-running Emmy-winning series. The story begins when a ruptured water main creates an enormous sinkhole right in front of Bob’s Burgers, blocking the entrance indefinitely and ruining the Belchers’ plans for a successful summer. While Bob and Linda struggle to keep the business afloat, the kids try to solve a mystery that could save their family’s restaurant. As the dangers mount, these underdogs help each other find hope and fight to get back behind the counter, where they belong.

A musical comedy-mystery-adventure is exactly what we’d want a Bob’s Burgers movie to feed us and we get a taste of that in this trailer.

The Bob’s Burger’s Movie stars Kristen Schaal, H. Jon Benjamin, John Roberts, Dan Mintz, Eugene Mirman, Larry Murphy, Zach Galifianakis and Kevin Kline. Loren Bouchard & Bernard Derriman direct with screenplay from Bouchard & Nora Smith. It comes to theaters just in time for summer, May 27.
