The Grinch is unleashing chaos this holiday season once again. This time, instead of taking presents from unsuspecting Christmas lovers in Whoville, he’s creeping into a McDonald’s near you for a full Grinch meal. What a gift! Many pop culture inspired collaborations with the fast food giant are not really that exciting. However, this one will thrill the dill pickle and fry lovers among us who like salty over sweet. The Grinch Meal at McDonald’s will serve up McShaker fries with a tangy dill seasoning. This is the very first time that this kind of fry is available in the US.
The McShaker Grinch fries are regular fries that you can shake up with that delicious salty mixture. Potatoes aside, The Grinch Meal will come with your choice of a Big Mac or a 10-piece Chicken McNuggets and a medium drink. And, each meal comes with a side of one size fits all socks complete with Grinchy designs. There are four different pairs to collect. So you’ll have to pull up at the drive-thru a few times if you want all of them. This Grinch Meal and its dill pickle flavored fries are landing at a McDonald’s near you on December 2.
“The Grinch Meal was a huge success in Canada, so bringing this fan favorite to the U.S. was a no-brainer,” said Alyssa Buetikofer, Chief Marketing and Customer Experience Officer of McDonald’s USA. “The Grinch gets it – the holidays are chaotic, and he’s thrilled to give our fandom permission to embrace their inner Grinch with his festive mischievous meal and spirited socks.”
The Grinch himself has a message and a rebuttal to the above statement that he’d like to share. “THiS iS MY MEAL AND i DiDN’T PARTNER WiTH McDONALD’S OUT OF THE GOODNESS OF MY HEART,” said The Grinch in a handwritten note on crumpled paper from Mt. Crumpit. “i SAW AN OPPORTUNiTY TO BRiNG MiSCHiEF TO YOUR BELOVED “RESTAURANT” WiTH MY DELiCiOUS CHAOS FOR THE HOLiDAYS AND i TOOK iT. SO GO AHEAD, GRAB MY MEAL STARTING DEC. 2 – YOU’RE WELCOME FOR MAKiNG YOUR HOLiDAYS iNFiNiTELY MORE iNTERESTiNG.”
Well, so much for thinking it was a delight. He may not have good intentions at heart but this news really did make our hearts grow bigger in size.
