The time has almost come for Stranger Things to come to an end. On December 31, Stranger Things 5, Volume 3, a.k.a. Stranger Things 5, Episode 8, a.k.a. Stranger Things: The Finale, a.k.a the final episode of Stranger Things ever, will release. That’s as many names as Henry/Vecna/One/Mr. Whatsit. For now, though, we have our final Stranger Things 5 trailer to watch. The trailer for Stranger Things 5: The Finale has finally released. You can watch our final look ever at a new Stranger Things episode below.
What Happens in the Final Stranger Things Trailer Ever?
Soon, we’ll know once and for all the fate of all our favorites. We have good reason to be on edge, though, because there have been no major character deaths in Stranger Things 5, and we feel like that certainly can’t stand into the final episode of Stranger Things 5. In this Stranger Things 5, Volume 3 trailer, we see basically what we knew would play out come to pass. But we do also see Dustin screaming desolately again, which we do not like. As we’ve said before, Steve Harrington had better not die, especially after Dustin has been mourning Eddie Munson so thoroughly on Stranger Things 5. The pair just reconciled again… so despite “You die, I die,” we expect neither of them to actually die on Stranger Things 5‘s finale.
The Stranger Things 5: The Finale Trailer Takes Us On A Walk Through Previous Seasons
The Stranger Things 5, Volume 3 final trailer begins with the Party driving into the Upside Down and a serious-looking Hopper. He tells Eleven, “I need you to fight, one last time.” But hopefully not one last time, as in Eleven dies afterward, because we know that death is the fate that Kali/Eight has in mind for her and her sister. “Life has been so unfair to you,” Hopper continues, but it’s a young Will that the Stranger Things 5: The Finale trailer shows us. Then it’s Dr. Brenner and a young Eleven who flash across our screens as Hopper says, “Your childhood was taken from you.” And next, we see scenes from all the seasons of Stranger Things in this final finale trailer.
“You’ve been attacked,” Hopper says, as we see Hopper, Lucas, Max, Mike, Will, Steve, Nancy, and Jonathan prepare to battle the demodogs in Stranger Things 2. And then we cut to the attack of the Mind Flayer on Starcourt Mall, fireworks going off everywhere. “Manipulated,” And it’s Brenner taking Eleven’s hand in Stranger Things 4. “By terrible people,” And we see Max rising into the air over Billy’s grave in Stranger Things 4, Max in Vecna’s Mind Prison as he tries to steal her mind. Then Vecna as Henry Creel saunters across the Stranger Things 5: The Finale trailer, ready to take on Eleven.
Good Times Do Also Exist in this Last Stranger Things Look
“But you never let it break you,” Hopper says with emotion. And yes, there are good memories too, in Stranger Things‘ final trailer. Eleven, Dustin, and Mike hug for the first time in Stranger Things‘ first season after Eleven saves Will’s life from bullies. Jonathan, Dustin, Mike, and Lucas hug Will after he reveals his queer identity. It’s hugs all around.
New Footage From Stranger Things 5‘s Final Trailer Shows Dustin Screaming in Pain
“Fight for the days on the other side of this.” And finally, we see new footage from Stranger Things 5‘s final episode in this trailer. Eleven, Kali, Hopper, and Murray head into the Upside Down. We see Eleven’s bath appear. And… lo! Somehow, it has water. How is that exactly? We’re not sure. But if Steve’s pool was empty, we expect to hear an explanation. Next, we see Dustin and Lucas looking up at the Upside Down from the Radio Tower. They sure are up high.
“Fight for a world beyond Hawkins.” And cut to, Vecna in his throbbing Abyss creature. Then what might be the Upside Down version of Hawkins’ lab OR the radio tower exploding in a blaze of fire. As previously mentioned, Dustin is SCREAMING in serious pain. Again, it better not be Steve, that would just be too much for everyone. But fans out there think it might actually be Dustin’s mentor, Mr. Clarke, who somehow dies in Stranger Things 5, Volume 3. That would be in keeping with Stranger Things‘ tradition of killing minor characters, but Mr. Clarke’s first name (Scott) does not start with a B. So perhaps he is safe.
Does Stranger Things 5: The Finale‘s Trailer Hint at Time Travel?
But, oh, what’s that? Is that a clock is TICKING in Stranger Things 5: The Finale‘s trailer? Could that signal TIME TRAVEL could be just around the corner? We don’t know yet, but we see quick snippets of Henry transforming into Vecna, Hopper with a gun, Max, Kali, and Eleven, perhaps in Vecna’s brain, Nancy and Jonathan at the top of the radio tower looking worried, and Hopper saying, “Let’s end this kid,” to Eleven. Then there’s Joyce, Jonathan, Lucas, and Dustin, also looking scared on the roof as the Abyss begins to descend into the Upside Down, shattering its sky. (“Mother of God,” says Dustin.)
Ultimately, we’ll say that Stranger Things 5: The Finale‘s trailer does not include enough Steve for our tastes, given that it’s our final trailer ever. But what can you do?
