The highly-anticipated Masters of the Universe live-action film’s new teaser to ramp up interest in its full trailer is very, very good. It clocks in right at around 30 seconds, just like a teaser should, and gives us the right vibes without giving the film away. We love to see this very nostalgic first look at the film as well as a glimpse of Nicholas Galitzine as He-Man.
The unseen narrator throws it back to the ‘80s as we watch clips from days gone by. He says that times were simpler back when Trix were a healthy breakfast, and everyone was doing aerobics to work out. But, more importantly, it was a time when we had the great animated hero known as He-Man, whom we see wielding the Power Sword.
The narrator says perhaps we need that kind of hero again as we fade to an up close shot of our new hero reaching for his sword. We get a quick look at a few characters, including Man-At-Arms (Idris Elba) with the promise for a trailer. Brilliant.
Masters of the Universe hits theaters just in time for summer blockbuster season on June 5.
