Sam Rockwell’s Good Luck, Have Fun, Don’t Die seems like it will be quite the bizarre cinematic trip. In the film, he portrays a mysterious (and maybe nuts) man from the future who walks into a diner and tells its patrons that he needs help combating a rogue AI that will essentially end the world. While that premise would’ve felt uber futuristic 30 years ago, the swift development of AI in today’s world makes it seem less farfetched. There are already people whose lives and careers have been completely changed for the worse by AI. If you’re one of them, then you can actually see this movie for free. Yes, if you lost your job to AI, tell Briarcliff Entertainment and Fever your story for a chance to win two tickets to see Good Luck, Have Fun, Don’t Die.
There will be 2000 tickets given out in total to see the sci-fi action comedy. Briarcliff posted a letter on its social pages about the initiative, complete with a brief quote by the company’s CEO. “Who better to see a film about AI’s impact than those already experiencing it firsthand?” commented Tom Ortenberg.
That is very true. Whether you score free tickets to see Good Luck, Have Fun, Don’t Die because you lost your job to AI or not, we can all see what happens when it hits theaters on February 13. It’s not the most romantic way to spend Valentine’s Day weekend, but fighting AI does evoke good feels, right?
