Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings was one of the visually coolest Marvel Studios projects of all time, with some of the best action. But it also had one of the coolest scores of any recent MCU film. Now, you can revisit that soundtrack by composer Joel P West. And on a very stylish vinyl LP, no less. Mondo, in conjunction with Hollywood Records and Marvel Music, is releasing the premiere physical release of Joel P West’s original soundtrack for Marvel Studios’ Shang-Chi. You can check out the first images, and read all the official details, down below:
“Joel P West uses a delicate and inventive mix of Chinese instruments like Tanggu drums and Ehru, mixed with Western symphonic instruments, to symbolically build on the themes and conflicts of the film. Beautifully bridging Shang-Chi’s epic journey from San Francisco to Ta Lo, the score is absolutely gorgeous from beginning to end. Featuring all-new artwork by Dani Pendergast, liner notes by composer Joel P West, and pressed on 2x 180 Gram Mondo exclusive color vinyl (also available on 2x 180 Gram black vinyl), Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings will be available for pre-order at MondoShop.com on Wednesday, April 6, for a price of $40.00.
