Animal Crossing and Super Mario Party. What do the two have in common? Well, both are pretty fun and mellow games, for starters. What better way to unwind than by having your character skip around different, unique lands? One fan combined their love for both game franchises by curating an amazingly detailed Mario Party 2-inspired island on Animal Crossing: New Horizons. And it’s really something to marvel at. Check it out below!

One of the many joys of Animal Crossing is letting your imagination run wild. That and traveling to new and exciting horizons, if you will. For those who are unfamiliar with the game, players are able to create and customize their own worlds from whatever their brains think up. Those worlds can then be shared for other players to enjoy. The island above, originally shared on Reddit, takes the cake for creativity. Complete with three different boards and over ten mini games, it truly does transport players into the world of Super Mario. It’s a project that the creator says took them three years to complete.
Meander through Horror Land, Western Land, and Pirate Land—all of which are boards from the original Mario Party 2. A few of the recreated mini games include Bowser’s Big Blast, Cake Factory, and Day at the Race. The island even has the Denver International Airport… for some reason. Anyway, it’s an incredibly thought-out build, and a dream for fans of both games.
Of course, there have been plenty of other wild fan builds in days past. One fan even went one step further by recreating their entire Animal Crossing island in real life with LEGO. It looks spectacular. Time-consuming, for sure, but spectacular. Pivoting back to the digital sphere, this unique Mario Party-inspired island has earned its spot on the list of coolest fan builds.
